A silver inkwell in the form of a life size tortoise, the shell hinged opening to reveal a glass ink well, flanked by a stamp box and a nib box and lower pen rest, made by Bertholt Müller, with London Assay Office Import Mark for 1903, 30cm long, 36oz approx. (Sold with a copy of an insurance valuation certificate)

There is one small chip to the glass ink well otherwise it is good condition, the three hinges are sound and close flat, the tortoise itself also sits flat, no wobble.
