19th century Zanzibar wedding or Dower chest, the hardwood frame heavily overlaid with geometric brass detail in panels and studs, the rising lid over three frieze drawers, 107cm long x 97cm high x 66cm deep, with documentation and photographs found in the chest detailing its known history from the Colestan Palace, Teheran c.1926, and later, its inheritance from Sir Harold Satow a Consul-General (documents in the office)
