Large collection of mid 20th century clothing and fabric remnants contained in a lead lined wooden trunk and a woven basketry trunk; includes bespoke made dresses, embroidered Indian scarves, 2 khaki military skirts dated 1941, woollen gaiters, a pair of blue linen panels (curtains?), remnant of Harris Tweed etc
Short jacket; lining is silk and is starting to split in several places due to age. Colour fading is evident across the green edging and collar -See photos. All items in this lot have been stored in trunks, probably for decades and were very crumpled when unpacked. There is a smell of moth balls which is improving with the items being aired.
