Antarctic Adventure - Scott, Shackleton, etc, eleven volumes, together with a timber ink stand with script, 'Made from Scott's Discovery' A note written in Jan 1963 (on British Antarctic Expedition - Terra Nova RYS note paper, together with the accompanying envelope) by Frank Debenham (1883-1965) Geologist on the 1910-13 expedition, a studio photograph of Lawrence Edward Grace Titus Oates (1880-1912) to reverse - please return to Mrs Oates, his mother with the family home address, Gestingthorpe Hall, Essex, 2 August 1913, he is probably aged about 18 in the image, a very similar portrait can be found on Getty Images, a number of photographs (later copies) including one of a glacier with notation to the reverse by Frank Debenham, an autograph album with printed views of The Terra Nova deck under preparation, etc, a contemporary photograph of George P Abbott 1880-1923 Petty officer RN, in highland attire.
