£6,200
A Channel Islands silver 2 pint baluster tankard with an acanthus scrolled handle, stamped I H of Guernsey (Jean Henry 1727-1783) with a French inscription to the underside of base dated 1771, 15.5cm tall and 10.5cm diameter, 19.3oz (600 grams) together with a pamphlet on Channel Islands silver
A small hole to underside of the lower loop of the handle, which we think is due to poor casting than a fault, the base, where fitted to the foot is somewhat crude, possible re-soldering but of age, see images, very tiny shallow dent to the body which will not photograph clearly. Provenance - Old Guernsey family now living in Bristol - here to be sold.
