Naive School, 19th century - Study of a Hereford Bull, oil on canvas, unsigned, unframed, 31 x 51.5 cm
There is a hole/tear to the canvas which appears to be from a puncture to the back. This has historically been restored but the restoration material has flaked away revealing the hole once more. There is considerable cracking to the surface of the painting throughout with small areas of paint loss mostly around the edges of the stretcher. Four nail/tack holes to canvas, one in each corner. The canvas has torn around the edges of the stretcher, mostly to the right edge.
