Attributed to the Fakeye group, a large Yoruba / Nigerian carved figural hardwood stool, in the form of a kneeling figure, hewn from a single section of timber, with chip carved top, signed ‘ODEKUNLE OYO’ to underside, 46cm high, 29cm diameter.
Purchased by parents of current vendor while living in Ibadan, Nigeria in the 1970s.
