After Samuel Drummond (1765-1844) - 'The Death of Nelson' (19th century), unsigned, oil on canvas, 75.5 x 81.5 cm (canvas size), framed in 19th century gilt gesso frame with scrolling leaf decoration. This composition is a variant of a series of paintings by Drummond of the same subject. This particular composition was also engraved in mezzotint and published by William Barnard, c.1805.
